"Un Nuevo Amanecer" "A New Dawn"
It is the mission of the outreach project to provide accessible services to victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault who live in colonias and rural areas of Hidalgo County. The Hidalgo County Outreach Program began in 1996, as a result of the Violence Against Women's Act. The act provides funding to conduct outreach to rural and outlying areas in order to provide services to women and children. The program provides direct client services, follow-up services, support groups, community education, and personal advocacy to clients. |
