Crisis Intervention Counseling Services

       As part of the agency support services, residents and non- residents receive individual and group counseling as well as the 24 hour Crisis Hotline service. 

During counseling sessions, staff offer information and education regarding the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault.  Most importantly a safety plan is discussed to ensure the safety of any client who might still be in a violent household. 

Intake and crisis intervention counseling is provided at all Mujeres Unidas locations.  In 2009, there were 3,146 individuals who received counseling and crisis intervention services at the (3) locations.
