Legal Advocacy Program
The Legal Advocacy Program staff assisst agency clients by assessing individual needs, providing education on legal rights options, and providing support and accompaniment in the client's pursuit of those options. In collaboration with the Texas Rural Legal Aid (TRLA), legal advocates assist agency clients in obtaining divorces, filing police reports, assist in obtaining protective orders, and provide court accompaniment. Advocates also work closely with Proyecto Libertad to assist immigrant battered women who are victims of crime. In 2010, the Legal Advocacy Program provided individual counseling to 1,564 non-resident clients and 333 shelter residents assisting 209 of these women with protective orders. Legal Advocates also provide advocacy to address conflicts between clients and landlords to prevent homelessness.

Frida’ s Clothing Referrals

Our clients can count with supportive services such as Frida’s Referrals. Frida’s offers clothes for the whole family.
Frida’s Referrals is a community sponsored program and part of the personalized safety planning.
Community members donate clothes, shoes, and many other gently used items that are given to clients that are in transition into safety.
In average a client can take up to 2 years to make a complete transition. During this time of transition the client can face economic challenges. The Frida’s Referral program can aid the client by saving them money while they get gently used clothes free from the community.
Frida’s Referral program also assists a family with their Safety Planning as well. During a safety plan the client is advised not to worry too much for clothes since shelter staff always has a full stock ready to serve families around the clock.

Menus provide your site with structure and help your visitors navigate your site. Â Although they are all based on the same menu module, the variety of ways menus are used in the sample data show how flexible this module is.
A menu can range from extremely simple (for example the top menu or the menu for the Australian Parks sample site) to extremely complex (for example the About Joomla! menu with its many levels). They can also be used for other types of presentation such as the site map linked from the "This Site" menu.
